About Scinapse

Scinapse is a growing voluntary network of more than 80 organisations and individuals in the Mid West region of Western Australia who are passionate about science and the way it helps us understand our world. We work together to create great science-based activities including:

Science talk
lectures, movies, shows and workshops
Science connect
Getting scientists together with the public in a range of hands-on ways
Science at work
Professional development events for the region’s scientists and science communicators.

Join us and share your ideas, enthusiasm, photos, or discoveries on anything related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics and related topics: email connect@scinapse.org.au

Lead on an activity

Scinapse partners with local people and organisations to run science engagement activities. Past activities have included film nights, tours of research facilities, community science nights, science talks, festivals and coding clubs.

We work with partners who take a ‘lead’ on the events. Scinapse can support you with:

Cash funding to match or boost your cash or in-kind contribution
Marketing support to reach the appropriate audiences
Coordination support with logistics, venue, catering
Evaluation forms

The steps and process for ‘ideas’ becoming Scinapse events is summarised in the image below. Don’t be daunted though, this whole process can be very quick and easy.
